Essential Latex Care & Dressing Guide
1. Getting Dressed Safely
Latex naturally grips dry skin. To avoid tearing the material, apply unperfumed talcum powder or a silicone-based dressing lubricant to your skin or the inside of the garment. Never pull the material by the edges; use the pads of your hands to ease it gently up your body. Remove all jewellery and take extra care with sharp fingernails.
2. Achieving the Glossy Look
Your items arrive pre-dusted with protective talc powder and will look matte and dull out of the box. To achieve the signature high-gloss shine, wipe away excess powder with a damp cloth and polish the surface using a specialised silicone latex shiner or conditioner applied with a soft, lint-free cloth.
3. Washing & Long-Term Storage
Hand wash after use in lukewarm water using a mild soap or washing-up liquid. Leave to air-dry completely, hanging away from direct heat or sunlight (UV rays break down latex and alter colours). Once completely dry, dust lightly with talc and store flat or hang on a plastic hanger inside a dark, cool wardrobe. Keep away from oils and metals (like copper or brass), which permanently stain rubber.
